Fleet supply after planet lost

After losing a planet to the AI, I was thinking how hard and depressing it can be to come back after losing a colony or two.

What do you think about not losing fleet supply immediatly after losing a colony.
There would be a grace period to represent your colony selling war bonds and
trying that much harder to get that colony back?

Or even taking it a little further, you would get a slight increase for a small
period of time to represent your colonists working that much harder.

Maybe fleet supply never goes down, to represent the logistics you have learned. Fleet supply can only go up.

Or to prevent someone from having too many ships and not many planets to defend, you lose some fleet supply that was provided by the planets you lost, but not all of it.

I'm just trying to think of a way to help you come back after taking heavy loses.

eh, if you dont have the people and planet to support a fleet, you cant support a fleet.
If your planet just got nuked, i'm quite sure it wont support a fleet.

BTW, i had a dream about sins last night...

well, it was kinda weird, it had a much more RTS aspect since there were no phaselanes.
it was a 2v2 and i was trying to attack purple with my fleet, but he had four supergausses which were very good against capships, but had a very low chance to hit regular ones. They turned my sova into debris quite quickly
Thats about when i woke up and my alarm started playing Stronger by Kanye West

Letting players keep lost supply (even temporarily) could lead to exploits between allied players ("sharing" a planet so both get more supply, for example).

Given that there is no sharing mechanic for anything except resources...

By sharing I mean taking turns owning it.

And there doesn't appear to be any mechanic to do that except invite an opponent over to destroy it for you, so your ally can colonize it.

Unless I'm missing something...

Who said you have to actually be "allied" to your allies (FFA)?

Point is, it'd be exploitable.

Point is, I'd like the ability to give planets / units to allies!
