My Colors

Howdy folks
I don't see any problems listed in My Colors . So , a friend is having a slight problem with a My Colors
wallpaper . The operating system is Window's XP SP2 . The My Colors is the NHL Detroit Red Wings . I have the exact My Colors myself . My friend went to the Window's update , did the updates ( I did the same , I have Window's XP SP2 as well ) My Red Wings wallpaper is intact , everything is fine with the My Colors NHL Red Wings on my pc , my friends My Colors NHL Red Wings wallpaper still has the red background , but is missing the Red Wings logo , and likewise in the display area of my friends pc . Any help would be appreciated .

I don't know, but I think the wallpaper may be in the folder for the skin. Your friend might try to reapply the wallpaper from there if it doesn't autoload. The red color seen is maybe just the skin background color.

I'm only guessing here....

The MyColors are actually created into .suite files. However those files are converted .zip files.

Rename the file to .zip then use your favorite zip program to look at the parts of the skin you want to extract.

I thought I'd drop by and post the outcome . After not much luck in getting this resolved , I suggested to my friend that she ask at a computer help forum where they suggested she do a '' hi-jack this '' scan and post the results , which she did do . The forum suggestion she delete a couple remnants of AOL still on the pc ,which she did . Some people have trouble with AOL software and AOL software is known to cause problems for some . I don't believe that was the problem as my friend stated that she never did get the '' My Colors '' wallpaper to display correctly . The other My Colors goodies worked ok . So this led me to believe at the time of the My Colors download , something had happened/prevented the wallpaper from displaying correctly . Another suggestion from the pc help forum in regards to the ''hi-jack this '' scan , was to delete
'' My Web Search '' ( Smiley Central)(well known crapware) This was done and after re-booting ,
bingo ! The My Colors wallpaper displayed correctly . I thought I'd pass this along for the Tech Dept. just in case this problem occurs again . Thanks for the help people ! :>)
