To Devs: Great Job...now maybe Stellar Frontier?

First off, I want to congratulate Stardock on the EXCELLENT job you've done with GalCiv. I can't express how impressed I am with the final version of the game :D

But more importantly, is there any chance that we can see a fix for Stellar Frontier (http://www.stardock.com/products/sf/) now that GalCiv has been released? I know you have been very busy (and still are) with GalCiv, but Stellar Frontier is completely broken. It's impossible to enter a server without encountering someone that's cheating. (I'm not going to repeat exactly how they've been doing it as there are hundreds of posts on the SF newsgroup pertaining to the issue).

I've heard rumors that a 1.2 version is in the works (possibley days away?). I've also heard that Doug is currently the only one working on SF and that he in fact isn't working. :notsure:

I'm just looking for some sort of official confirmation on the issue. Please don't leave us loyal SF players in the dark :(

'You just remember this when stardock decides to stop working on GalCiv.'

Everything winds down eventually.

Stellar Frontier has been around for six years. Most games are lost to cheaters within _months_. I'd say that says alot for Stardock's commitment that it took nearly four to five years for the bottom to drop out of SF.

Actually, that doesn't say much for Stardock at all, since they claim no responsibility for one of their "products". The credit would have to go to Doug Hendrix, who seems to be the sole person working on SF.

"You just remember this when stardock decides to stop working on GalCiv."

If they stopped working on it right this very instant, I would, of course, be disappointed. But when you get right down to it, I paid a little more than the Australian retail, got three games for that price (GalCiv, Stellar Frontier and Corporate Machine) and a couple of nice updates/fixes for GalCiv into the bargain. So I've already got my money's worth out of this. Anything extra from here on in is just a bonus, and I for one aren't going to be running around 6 years from now bitching because Stardock don't want to keep throwing money at a 6 year old product. :notsure:

Actually SF was only made widely available to the public in version 1.0, which was about 2 years ago.
