How do you wheight Ressources?

Well the question is rather simple, how much is every type of res worth in your eyes?
The game suggests that metal and crystal is equally worth, personally i think that crystals are worth much more than metal ^^
I know that is of course influeced by your needs and the supply, but if you think of a game where you get an equal amount of res is wich ratio would you want them to get?
So just give us the ratio you think is alright for the three

Persoanlly i would choose:

16:2:3 Credits:Metal:Crystal

So whats your favourite ratio?

My favorite ratio is whatever the heck I need at the time I'm in! I really don't bother trying to work it out.

Though there are time I really wish they'd give us that new economic model -- having the only ice planet on the map meant having lots of crystal while everyone else was short, in last nights game.

While the current economic model is going to be overhauled, there's no point in trying to come up with set ratios. The game doesn't suggest that metal and crystal are equal in worth, they only start at the same base. It's the players during the game who decide how much more one is worth over the other and there's no need for hard ratios. Hopefully the new system will make it a bit less extreme (2.5k+ per 100 crystal can be a little much ), but I do hope it will keep some element of this

there's no point in coming up with set ratios period, given that they're going to have to be dynamic to begin with.

I just hope they set it up so you can sell resources to other players (enemy and allies).

Well.. selling to enemies okay, I'm not sure why you would want to do that. But selling to allies can already be done by mutual agreement. You give them a resource, they give you credits. Granted that's not enforceable.. Still, not sure why you'd want to sell to an ally, either.

Maybe a better word would be trading

If i need alot of crystal and my enemy needs alot of cash, why not trade in some way?

Because, logically, if you need crystal and you have cash, why would you help your enemy with cash when you can just buy it on the market? Same effect for you, but you're not helping your enemy at the same time

But what if I'm selling to my "enemy" who's actually not fighting me? I can get more credits for myself than by selling to the black market, and he's helping to prune another player back, leaving that player ripe for a well-timed backstab.

Precisely!
