AIM or WLM/MSN?

Just wondering...

I was wondering what messaging program people prefer. Feature-wise I prefer Windows Live (WLM), but i have way more friends on AIM. I like the display name selection features and program of WLM but I think AIM has the leg up on personal profiles. So needless to say I'm a bit divided!

I mainly use Skype and WLM. I like Skype better because it's not nearly as bulky as WLM is, it's more streamlined and I like the display/layout better.

WLM FTW.. much more professional app.. Trillian is ok if you dont care about custom emotes or sending files, in those areas it is weak. Aim? I wouldn't have on my PC.

So true... I use WLM, with Messenger Plus! Live and the MessBe Patch. Have you considered Miranda? Hubby likes it. It allows almost everything WLM has and works like Trillian.

Yeah I've tried all of the aforementioned programs and thoroughly enjoy them all except for the AIM windows program. It doesn't run very well, and is ugly in my opinion. Plus it has ads.

I use all kinds of chat networks, and Adium ties them all together nicely for me. It really blurs the differences between someone I'm talking to on AIM, someone on GTalk and someone on MSN.
