Midway Games' recently delayed AAA title has just been hit with some more bad news. By way of an IGN preview it was announced that the game has had its online co-op mode cut. In lieu of the loss has been the addition of a new mode called 'Abduction' and the revelation that weapons will effect the running speed of the characters.
'Abduction' mode sees one player start as a 'Reborn,' an alien, and is tasked with hunting down the remaining humans. Each human he kills is thus converted into a Reborn and then joins the hunt. Humans are tasked with not only defending themselves, but lasting as long as possible. The longer a player can remain human the more bonus points they receive.
It is worth noting that IGN previewed only the PS3 version of the title so functionality maybe different seeing as IGN confirmed that the PS3 version will lack the voice support that the Xbox 360 edition will have. No word was given about the status of PC voice-support.
