You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

A-yup.

I remember the SSI games... Darksun was particularly fun.   Nothing beat a half-giant fighter!

Not only that, but it held a ton of different features the Forgotten Realm run of games didn't have.  Dark Sun was quite the excellent game of SSI's.  It's quite like the differences from the Balders Gate series to what Planscape: Torment is.

Econ score is based on income, before any spending, so spend, spend, spend!

mmm 1987, the year I got my first computer (Tandy 1000 TX) as well as the year SSI got the licencing for AD&D. Pixilated orcs haven't stood a chance since.

Same for me (same computer, too!), although I was in high school.  I used to really like SSI games.

Good, bad, order, chaos...your moment of clarirty will doubtless come when the fangs of a Kzinti Hero are at your throat, tearing out your life-blood.  Other species have made the mistake of philosophizing while we devour their planets.  Only when every world lies within the grasp of Kzinti claws will we consider the galaxy to be in "balance".

Bad, Bad Squirrell!

I am going to try to set a new personal record for the ownershup of "home" planets. I think that I can do this by wiping out 7 of the 8 minor races ASAP, then pick off the new ones as soon as they appear. I hope to eventually end up with 7 Major Race homeworlds, 7 of the original Minor Race homeworlds (I always let 1 of them live), and 6 new homeworlds for a total of 20. It probably won't add much to the score, but it will be a good way to inject something new and interesting into the somewhat drudgerous task of point-grinding. Plus, it's just plain fun to toy with the Vegans/Paridians/etc. for a while and then obliterate them suddenly without any warning or apparent reason. Much like KP does with new Empires.....

Praise KP (KzintiPatriarch) he's the one who sent the invite and would be happy to answer any question you may have... oh!, not meaning others in the empire won't answer you it's just not all of us keep up to date with day to day affairs in the kzinti empire.

 

yo Seth I got an event for you and i'm serious about it.

Event Name: East Iconian Trading Company

Description: A trade barge from a rather large and powerful private organisation of mercenaries has just docked on your homeworld with a ship load of goods. At first their prices segest their trying to exploit your wealth but you manage to strick a bargin. They unload their goods and you pay the money for the fine fabrics and exotic foods.

On a parting note they segest a deal, one not meant to go on record. For a somewhat large quanity of citizen they would pay an extrodinary price. The citizens would be harvested from the public discretely and the money would be well worth the effort. However, people may notice so many going missing and freak out. could be a radical drop in moral. The citizens taken away will be sold of as slaves for wealthy families.

What do you want to do?

Good Option: We do not deal in slave labour! I appreciate the fine fabrics but no you cannot have my citizens.

Neutral Option: The number of citizens is too high, it will arouse too much attention. For a 1/4 of the citizens we will take only a 1/4 of the price. (-400million population, +300bc)

Evil Option: DEAL! (-1600million population, +1200bc, -20 morale)
