I would definitely buy something like AAR's in form of comic strips or short CG movies..i find them highly entertaining.

Well i can suggest X2 the threat or X3 which are like Galciv in 3d. Apart from that, you can go and watch season7 of deep space 9 and pretend the Dominion are Drengin!!

Oh i forgot to mention that X series games are mainly good for small to medium space battles, if you want big fleet battles with multiple capital ships then it will turn into a horrible lag fest.
