To everyone working on this tremendous project, words cannot describe how impressed and in awe I am of the work you guys are doing/have done, so how about a few to show my appreciation and gratitude for all you're doing here.

Hey there,starkers ... I think it is probably I who should thank everyone for giving me the impetus to work with .psd files in paint.net....It is not summat I would usually do on the Sidebar side ... I have learnt so much off these people .. Long may it continue !!

Anyway ...Here is what I think is the final version of the EMERALD FLAME SIDEBAR ...

..for a bit of fun, I have widenened the border... this gives the DS'er and option to widen it even more or make it narrower ..

I have also put in the original troll pic , which , I think brings it all ' to life' ..
The skin folder will have the Black Dragon clockface in there, as well as a normal black clockface for those who prefer to use that ...

Anyway .. see what you all think ...here ya' go !!

I want to apologize for not being ready with my Sysmetrix. I drove the family up to Maryland to see my grandmother just before X-Mas and came back with the pnemonia. Finally got outta bed on New Years day and I'm feeling semi normal today so I'll be getting back on it. Hope to have something completed by Sunday.

More WIP pics please!

Okay, I haven't had to make buttons this small before. So, I am learning here. This is what I have so far (design/theme as it were). I want honest feedback. If we don't like them, I open to suggestions, or if someone has been working on them or wants to let us know.

In the image pack for the frames, I did enclose the 'file' bar , which is gold...and a button bar to match each style. I'm not seeing any screenshots in the thread that shows them yet. I'm at work, so I don't have what I need to throw up a screenshot, but I will when I get home.

Is the wood grain the same for all the buttons in the bottome two rows?  I've never seen trees with such similar grains.    It jumped out at me.

Love the top row of buttons though.

but he's got a point in regards to the visual aspect of it

it's not quite the same as with other 'solid' buttons due to the pattern

the eye starts to see the pattern more than the buttons

maybe if you 'cut' some pieces from something like the topmost panel in #511?

The more I look it, similarity in grains aside, I'm not sure I like the wood buttons. Maybe gold for all? I can easily change the grains..patterns, dirction, etc. Do we even like the designs?

The app. running in my screen shots uses a flat file bar it never has skinned!

I am up for what ever but personally I like the buttons in#481

I was just playing around and got a image which I think may be useful for banners or something else, so its here...

You should have the files image files to skin it from that last zip I sent. Let me know.
