'Deus Ex 3' Confirmed At New Montreal Studios

Eidos has revealed that their new Montreal-based studio will be tackling one of their most popular properties as their first title, Deus Ex 3. The long rumored sequel to the FPS/RPG hybrid is already in the works by the in-house development team which comprises around 80 people, including the quality assurance team.
Eidos Montreal's general manager Stéphane D’Astous stated that the game was green lit due to the "great huge mandate to do the third one" and given to the new studio because "We’re only working on AAA, major titles. We’re going to be developing only major AAA games, using only next-gen technology."
Lastly D'Astous mentioned that they plan on keeping the development teams small while maintaining a longer work window. D'Astous commented "we're working on plans for our first few titles that will only be released after 24 months." So gamers may see Deus Ex 3 before the close of 2009.
