Applying only *parts* of a package

Leave my custom file icons alone!

I've totally customized all my file icons as a mix-and-match mess of different icons here and there, but I'd like to try applying icons from another suite (for folders, drives, desktop, etc) and NOT touch my custom file icons. I've tried unchecking files and custom files and applying the package, but it doesn't work properly. It applies the default XP icons instead of my custom ones. Is there any way to achieve what I want without having to manually go through and change the other icons for my custom package?

So you want to create a icon package with just  your custom icons so you could apply another IP theme and then reapply yours to overwrite whatever you didn't want?

Ermm, yes I guess so. I just want my custom file icons, and replace everything else with another package.

I've never had an IconPack change any icon I had previously set manually.
Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean.

Must be my aura then. :NOTSURE:

I'll try to explain what I've done...

If you go into the Icons and Cursors > Files section, I've customized all those icons. I want to *keep* those, but apply the icons for the other sections from another package.

Right now I'm using AlienMorph with all my customized file icons because that's what I was using when I did it (haven't even used another package since I got it...a few years ago XD). I unchecked files and custom files from the Include, loaded up another package, tried both "yes" and "no" to "apply all icons from this package?" after getting a conflict alert, and both times it replaced my custom file icons with default icons upon applying the package.

Bebi. Why not extract all the icons that you want and make up your own Iconpackage with them. 'Mix and Match', so to speak  :D

Yeah see but that's what I mean....I don't want to have to change all the rest of the icons manually, I want IP to just apply them for me while leaving my custom ones alone.
