FASA Studios Properties Licensed By Founder's New Company
'MechWarrior' & More Now Under License With Smith & Tinker

Stardock Forums
Although Microsoft closed FASA Studios back in September, the founder has managed to re-group and re-deploy as Smith & Tinker, complete with a license agreement on his former company's old properties. The agreement with Microsoft has Jordan Weisman's new company grabbing the rights to FASA's most popular franchises such as MechWarrior, Shadowrun, and Crimson Skies as well as other properties. The specifics of the deal were not disclosed so limitations are unknown, but Smith & Tinker says "our goal is to surprise and delight old fans, while welcoming new fans to these fantastic worlds."
