Newbie Totally Confused Between www.GalCiv.Com and www.Stardock.Net

I think I created an account for stardock.net (and stardock.com) looked for the SOFTWARE TAB but could never find it. Somehow I got to Drengin Games but when I clicked on Galactic Civilizations, it just brought me back here.

What am I doing wrong? I would like to find the patch 1.01A and also any multimedia updates...

Hi and welcome.

Ok, you need to go to the download section on this website and install Stardock Central. It's their download manager (and more) and is needed to get and install the patch.

Thanks. I think I found it finally. It is part of the software tab of the game, not an internet explorer site - I think. Can you access through the web or do I always run that program?

Thanks again! (Whew, and I thought I was savvy with this stuff :p

It's a software tab in the Stardock Central application (often referred to as SDC)

And yes - you need to run that program to get the patch. Stardock has announced that they will make some bigger patches available as ordinary downloads, but no that often - so if you want the latest updates and additions, you need to use the SDC.
