Ubisoft delayed a few titles into fiscal 2009 as part of their earnings report today. The newest addition to the Tom Clancy inspired franchises, Tom Clancy's EndWar has been delayed till after April 1, 2008, as has Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway. Both titles are set for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. PC gamers also received some more bad news, as the PC-only FarCry 2 was also pushed into fiscal year 2009 as part of the call.
Aside from the delays, Ubisoft stock holders can cheer as the company expects higher profits than anticipated this year and raised their projections accordingly. But for those non-business types, it is worth noting that Ubisoft has announced the development of a web-based entry into the Heroes of Might & Magic franchise. The persistent web-based title will be entering beta in early 2008 so anyone interested in participating should sign-up right away. The strategy game is set to launch in Spring 2008.
