Reinstalling Bugged

No one try to reinstall Sins -- SDC is bugged, and I'm getting the original B4 files, instead of the updated patched ones.

Which means I now know why I was getting desyncs last night, since I did a reinstall a week or so ago.

reccomend people check the version number with those online to make sure its the same. Its on the bottom right of the screen

It doesn't help P5yy -- its shows the right version number, but gives the wrong DATA.

yea we went throught that last night. unfunf and eet had two corrupted files, they could run sins, but couldn't join ICO for a game. The file was like 2000 bytes smaller....

well , anyone know exactly how big the correct exe for the beta 4 is?

This is mine.

Size : 2.67 MB (2,809,856 bytes)
Size on Disk : 2.68 MB (2,818,048 bytes)

This is what my exe shows for beta 4 and ive not touched it since last update.

is that why every recorded game i've been playing and also playing a single player compstomp always sending me a mini dump error messages. after the minidump error i get booted off screen. it is saying something like send the error so it can be fixed then boot on desktop.

btw my version says 5.0b or something. but the other night before i reinstalled the whole game i had mines saying 5.1b.

From what I can tell, the data files -- but not necessarily the executable -- are incorrect. I'm not sure about the .exe, but seeing as how we can still play with each other (with instant desyncs most of the time) I'm thinking its the data only.

Mine says 5.0b too, but I have replaced most of the data files. Anyone know where the version info is stored? I can replace that too.

ok, it looks like you have to replace the exe file as well as a few oother files, ron, go ahead and get on msn and ill give it to you (assuming zoomy says im allowed to do that)
