Does anyone know if there is going to be a Demo of any sort other than the beta for people who have not pre-ordered it?

Well, if you have the money you can still play in the beta. If you use stardock tokens to pre-order instead of using money, than you'll still be able to download the beta (instantly after making order with tokens)
