Former IO Interactive Programmers Release Casual Title

Freshman Entry for The Game Equation Released

Former Hitman and IO Interactive programmers Brian Meidell and Bo Cordes have struck out on their own by founding Denmark-based The Game Equation. The newly created company announced today that their freshman entry, Deep Blue Sea, is available now for PC and Mac platforms and has very little in common with their past works.

The pair decided that instead of AAA shooters, the company would focus on high end casual titles. Bo Cordes, co-owner of The Game Equation explains, "we studied the different options, and decided on the match-3 genre for Deep Blue Sea. Our goal was to apply our knowledge and experience towards creating a casual game with totally smooth and responsive gameplay or, 'tight' gameplay as we call it."

The company's casual title spared no expense, coming with a complete soundtrack from Danish composer, Rasmus Hartvig whom has years of experience creating music for films and theatrical productions.

Deep Blue Sea is available for PC and Mac, both retailing at $20.
