There will be a singleplayer story, but it won't be a campaign "in the traditional sense".

No one but the devs knows what they are planning. I don't think God has sufficient security clearance to be let in on the secret, even!

you cannot zoom into the actual surface of the planet, nor can you build giant guns down there (that space is already taken up by PEOPLE) but you can zoom in close to the planet and see all the nice prettyness

lol aww.. u mean i can build ( im makeing this up) hugeeee, ION-RAIL-PARTICAL-BEAM-CANNONS on the surface of me' planet and launch huge bombbardments from the planet surface!?! maaannn lol... but i would like to see its prettyness !! - i ... guess...
mmk so hows about the whole ...orbital instalations? theres gotta be some sorta death-star-like orbital satilite capible of warning me of incoming pples with reall y hige vessels awaiting my first move so that they mey obliterate my ppl off the face of the planet? - [ ouch ]

oh and whta u said about the planets "prettyness" , lol i know i have everysingle screenshot, and wall paper of SINS lol... anything yall can tell me about what all you can build and what it does?

Planet upgrades basically include founding new cities, adding infrastructure support, planet exploration, and fortifications against bombardment.

I really wish those were somehow visible, like say, sprawled on the planets surface (Courescant! my lovely, french sounding uber-planet) but I doubt thats going to be incorporated

As your planet becomes more developed the orbital traffic and number of space elevators will increase.

I seen in a vid a close up of a world, a city? Was that just for the intro video or was that how close we can zoom into our planets? I know there are no ground combats to speak of which is fine, but zooming in to see your planet would be, well astonishing among all other things we can do in this game. Just curious

there are multiple game videos floating around you tube of play. just search sins of a solar empire.
