I want to learn

I want to learn so many things.  This is a start of a list.  It may be completed in 2008, may be not.  At least I always have goals.

1.  I want to continue to practice and improve my facepainting skills and begin working paid jobs this year. 

2.  I want to learn how to solder so I can make mini collage charms for necklaces or bracelets.

3.  I would like to learn some basic jewelry making skills so I can at least make the beautiful, dangling charm bracelets. 

4.  I want to learn to write calligraphy.

5.  I want to improve my colored pencil skills.  Shading and highlighting would be a great place to start.

Oh no...I don't do art at all. Clay, fibers, pencil, charcoal, paint, pastel, tried them all and what I make resembles images from the bowels of hell...which is not intentional. :P

You just have to keep practicing and then you get better. Try collage. Everyone can do collage even three year olds. That's why it's my artform of choice. lol

I used to feel the same way until I tried knitting. It's as much art as craft, especially if one designs their own work, and a good way to express one's creative outlet. There's usually something artistic a person can do, they just have to try different things until they find the one that works for them.
