My pre-ordered game, problem

Hi, ive just pre-ordered sins, and it will be shipped over to me after it has been released. im guessing its going to be shipped in from america. this leads to a problem. i was wandering a games store today, asking about sins, and one of the workers there just happened to know about it, i think hes a member here, and he said ot will be sold to australia, but not for another year or so, because they have to make an australasian version of it. im worried now, because i dont know wether the one i ordered is going to work. in short, all games when released, are sold around the world, but there are different versions for different countries.

The question is: is the cd i ordered via stardock going to be an australian version? or is it going to be an american one?

most of our australian games are the american version anyway so yes it should work and if they send you the same one that the direct download gets then it will defenatly work (i have it running in the background now) also i read somware on one of the recently active threads that we get it in stores in april this year i think pending a distributer um... distributing it

we dont need a special version i think that mr galactica was thinking that it might act like movies and console games where they have a regeon code and dont work on things that donfit that region code ... as far as i know games dont have em

yeh...i dont know why they need different versions... i think its something to do with burning games. eg, u crack an australian game,and plan on mass burning/selling, you can only do it in australia, and not take it to england or something.

anyway, thats a relief. ide hate to have to package arrive at mydoor, and then i try to instal it, and it doesnt work, after a year or so of waiting. i would go white in the face and not eat or sleep for a month...lol

oh, and hey prezo, fellow australian. i think u said u were in NSW, so that makes it *looks at clock* 9:50 pm for you, DST. lol, its soo weird, especially on new years eve, it was 2008 for you 3 hours before me.....

Auran told Yarlen that they planned to have their version out in April, so most likley the person at the game store was just (horribly) mistaken.

The game itself should be identical in any case. Only the packaging/etc will vary since Auran will make their own. But of course, the box preordered from us will be a Collector's Edition :)
