I saw Tova's blog asking about Bakerstreet Link, it's been a while since I've seen a few people around JU too. In fact, I was a bit busy the last couple of days and just barely managed to peek in to see what was going on!
We all know how much our lives beyond the keyboard gets busy for us, and we don't blog as often as we want to. Heck, I thought I would have been on a lot more often this year, since posting my last couple of articles but that has not been the case.
Then there are those of us who really just want to take a break because this stuff that we love can be time consuming at times! And on the other side of the coin is wanting to just chill and ride under the radar for a while, due to burn out or writers block, or whatever!
I can't speak for anyone but once something you enjoy doing become more of a race for you to be on top, and less of an enjoyment and escape, it loses it's appeal. The trivia game became that for me so that's why I'm giving it a rest. And every once in while I find that happening for me with JU, and I welcome the busy periods that keeps me away for a bit. There's nothing wrong with that!
Just like any community where there are people who mingle and come to care about each other, when someone is not around as often as they used to be, and there has been nothing said, it will be noticed.
I've not been blogging for a week and a half now, so I don't know if anyone else is MIA, but since way before that time, I did noticed a few of our regulars were not 'out and about', some with explanations, some without.
Moderateman, where are you Elie? I've been on your blog asking, but no response.
Kelly, Raven, JJohn, Chris and Rose, and Nicky I've seen lurking & blogging.
Amanda & Alison, you stopped by recently.
Sally Jacob, Sugar High Elf, Shaun, and Xtine I haven't seen in a while.
Some who haven't been around in quite a while are folks like Phoenixboi, Islandgurl, Danny and Suzi. And I also remember, Dr. Donald, Xyte.
Xyte, I've seen on the JU Trivia Challenge, but I have not played trivia in a while, since giving myself a break from it.
You know what I'm glad for though? I'm glad for those of you who are always here and you keep JU going. I'm glad that when I take a break I will come back to see you here and I'm happy to see you! So smooches and thanks for keeping the keyboard jazzed!
But most important of all, thank you Brad, and Karma, and Zoomba and Jenny (btw when's baby due?) and Cordelia (the names I know) for keeping JU's door open!
