Time spent per turn

How much time do you guys take to do all the actions you want in a turn? Obviously, you'll probably have to qualify your answer by what stage of the game, galaxy size, etc. The reason I ask is that the manual says a tiny map should take 2-3 hours max. I know I'm new to the game, but my games are taking way way longer. I just wanted to get a feel whether I'm spending too much time over-analyzing or over-optimizing.

My games on Tiny took less than half an hour. In fact, out of 8 games, only one was longer than an hour...that included two games on medium maps taking less than an hour...of course, I suck.

The production pop-ups and reliable auto-pilot functions ensure that most turns are very quick. It's slow going whenever negotiations are needed though (say every 6-12 months), it would be great to be able to auto-optimise the influence/cash part of a deal. Tweaking the tax and spend rates is usually only done once per 12 months or so. Obviously any significant fleet action slows the game a bit.

Overall, the game progresses quickly.
