Ok, I've downloaded it... now what?

Forgive me for being unutterably stupid, but I need help. I purchased GalCiv online, and decided to download the main 86Mb program file while my CD dodges flying missiles on its way to Australia.
Well, I typed in my serial number, got GalCiv on the drengin.net menu, and hit the "Install" button that came up when I selected the main program.
5 hours later, my C drive is 86 Mb worse off. Stardock whirred a bit, said something about installing the program, then restarted my computer and then... well... now what?
I seem to have a drengin.net directory in my Program Files directory. Within it is a galciv directory, and within that are three subdirectories (date, gfx and fonts). Erm... but how do I start the program? There's nothing in my start menu anywhere (believe me, I'm not that stupid not to have looked thoroughly). There is no .exe or .bat or .com file anywhere in the galciv directory of its subdirectories.
Has something gone horribly wrong? Please don't tell me I have to download the damned thing again? I found the temp directory in the Stardock folder, and run the galciv.exe program there, but all I get is a black screen for 2 seconds, and then it jumps back to the desktop.
