Alliance question.

If I have an alliance with a race do I get military boosts from his starbases when Im in those sectors?
If not why? Would make alliances really cool.Or would this unbalance the game?
Umm Mr.big bad Drengin sir.I just formed an alliance with the Torian race.My ships are now receiving the benefits of
his 35 hit attack points.

You don't, by default. There is, however, a UP resolution that forces starbases to share their enhancements with Allies.

In the United Planets you can vote for this. I don't think that you will get the boost from allied starbases as default you have to vote in the UP.
