Before I get the beta

I've read the beta faq, I know I meet the system requirements, etc. But I am still a bit unsure of the beta purchase. I am wondering, if I purchase the beta now and download, will I have to purchase the actual game again? Or will I get a free download for it. An answer would be much appreciated.

Oh and I apologize if this has been answered already, I've used the search engine a bit but found no clearcut results, which is also the problem with the faq, it's not completely clear, and I'd just like to be absolutely sure.

if you order with tokens, you're getting the beta on the side, so yeah, free download when the time comes.

Just so you don't get surprises later, the only way to get the beta download is to pre-order through Totalgaming.net tokens - which means a "download only" final version, you won't be getting a box unless you upgrade on Feb 4th for $5 + shipping.

Anything not using TGN tokens will not get you beta access anymore.

You get access to the beta by pre-ordering the game -- at this point, the only way to get beta access it to pre-order via totalgaming tokens. The beta is not a separate purchase.

Don't mess with the beta at this point. It's akin to reading an early draft of a movie you're waiting to see.

The only point in being part of the beta is to give feedback to get the game changed. We go out of our way to make sure the betas aren't particularly fun (the GalCiv betas were horrendous) as to not spoil the final game.

I liked the GalCiv beta. Well, GalCiv2. I wasn't part of 1.

Yeah. No doubt. The betas all rock even the current TA beta for GC2. Speaking of which had an update today.
