Flickering screen, when letting ships auto-move

When I have multiple Colony Ships going to different destinations, I occationally get the screen to flicker between two of them, like the Game Engine can't decide which to show.

I can get out of this conflict by pressing "Find".

Hmm..I think I've isolated the problem. It occurs more and more often, the more ships I have auto-moving. Apparently it starts right after I've used "Find" to locate a ship that hasn't moved, and moved it. Then the Engine tries to jump to the next ship, but doesn't stop there - instead it starts cycling through all ships with left-over movement..

That should narrow it down pretty much for you :)

If I'm not mistaken it relates to this line in the debug.err:
Debug Message: Lock: Unable to restore surface.

Just a couple of notes:

1) Disregard the last post above.
2) The flickering stuff takes focus from the Tech advance screen. I've experienced several times that a Science Project runs to completion without getting the Research Complete Screen.
3) The management of Colony Ships needs to be imrpoved. It's too easy to accidentially colonize a new planet in the system where you build a Colony Ship.
Also, when you colonize several planets in one turn, the Engine tends to "skip" all but the last system.

2) You'd get informed about it at the beginning of the next round.
3) I actually like the current colonization procedure, but I also noticed that the computer only colonizes one planet.
