Strength Through Unity, Unity Through Enemas

...what?

Why do the Advent keep muttering things about "enemas" when I click their ships? So far both the carrier and the light carrier say things about them. I'm convinced it's some sort of Latin (aenima?!?) term for something that they use, but I'm not exactly sure what they're referring to. It's kind of an unfortunate phrasing regardless.

That or they just are into that sort of thing, being evangelical space hippies and all.

I think Anima (or however it's spelled, don't remember) are the ones who control the fighters/bombers.

The Advent call their fighters Anima, since they're unmanned psychically controlled drones. So that's probably what they're speaking of.

Its Anima or something like that, and it's what they use to control the strikecraft instead of having people in it. I am not exactly sure though.

Anima (also Animus) is Latin for 'Soul' or 'Mind' depending on usage. Modern Italian and Spanish use it for 'Soul'. It is the root word for Animation along with many other words (including animal).

Automation is also derived from Anima, in this case it's Auto- (Self) -ma (Soul) meaning something that directs itself.

I hope that gives some insight. 5 years of Latin didn't go to waste! :D

There should be some hints in the manual, in the research topics, and in the ability descriptions. We'll be revealing a lot more lore as time goes on. Sure Sins is at retail but its a game that will keep on giving :)

I still chuckle when I hear it, though :P

i got this at wikipedia  :

An enema (plural enemata or enemas) is the procedure of introducing liquids into the rectum and colon via the anus. Enemas can be carried out for medical reasons (as a treatment for constipation) as a remedy for encopresis, as part of alternative health therapies, and also for erotic purposes, particularly as part of BDSM activities. In earlier times, they were often known as clysters, and were probably used more frequently than at present.
