the very first tutorial goes until I get the first asteroid and then stops. Even with new patch. anyone else?

Have you changed the resolution from 1024 x 768?

If so, set it back to 1024 x 768 and try the tutorial again.

I have a similar problem with the first tutorial in that once I have colonised the asteroid and get the constructor I cannot progress the tutorial anymore. What am I supposed to do. I am running the 1.03 patch as well.
