Vasari Phase Stabilizer thingies

Those Vasari phase stabilizers that let you connect two nonconnected planets... how do you get them to work. My trade ships use them automatically but I cant get my fleet to use it. Everytime it insists on going the long way through 10,000 planets.

They should just go on their own when ordered, no special method of using as far as I know of.

AFAIK: trade ships dont use them but dont diss them

. they're great, you can quickly get your fleets around.
