Queued Movement Fails to work.

Shift key cause the game to pause and lag

When I hold down the shift key to queue up movements the game seems to hiccup for a moment and then not let me queue the movement. The mouse continues to moves around the screen but the line indicating the direction of travel pauses as does the craft I'm directing. When the game does catch up the movement is treated like a single action and not a queued action (thus removing the previous step).

Just to make sure I'm not going crazy: THIS IS A TEST OF HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY DOWN WHILE TYPING, which appears to work.

What kind of information do you need from me in order to help diagnose/troubleshoot?

Further investigation shows that if I hold down shift and click but don't actually move the mouse it appears that I can queue an action, but when I hold shift and move the mouse the problem presents.

Being that I haven't had a response yet, is there a different avenue I am suppose to take in order to receive technical support?

The important specs about my machine
My keyboard mouse is a Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser using the latest Set Point Drivers
My video card drivers are up to date (GeForce 7600)
My audio and motherboard drivers are up to date as well (nForce 4)
My hard drive configuration uses the Silicon Image control on the MB in a RAID 1 (mirrored) setup.
Have two gigs of RAM
My CPU is an AMD Athlon 3200+

I have run a few different virus scanners to verify that it isn't something else running on my system. I have even killed processes down to the bare minimum process needed to run and tested it that way with the same results.

Last night I attempted to play the game in windowed mode. While my shift+click problem did not follow me into windowed mode there were some other problems involving focus and the game thinking I was holding the left mouse button down when I wasn't.
