Widescreen Help

I installed the game through direct download. All the things I've read online suggest that the widescreen settings can be changed through the settings folder inside documents and settings. Don't remember the exact path, but I do know that folder doesn't exist.

I'm running Windows XP by the way.

In any case, I'd really love to get this game running 1280x720 so it's native on my projector. Thanks!

You need to run the game once before the directories and files are created. Then you should be able to find them. Keep in mind that the OS hides those folders by default, so you'll need to change that. ;)

All I did was change the resolution in the options (1440x900 for me) and it's in widescreen for me. Am I missing something that I need to edit a text file?

I had no trouble getting widescreen resolutions. When I first installed it the highest for me was 1440x900 even though my max res was 1680x1050. After I installed the 1.02 patch, 1680 showed up.

the only question i have (at this point) related to wide screen has to do with the opening intro movie. it doesn't play in wide screen; is it suppose to?

Not for me. It seems to only play at 1024x768 and the rest of the screeen is blacked out.

I could choose 1920x1200 (24" Samsung 245BW) in the game Options window but when I did the game would crash. I ended up manually editing the configuration text file and now the game runs fine. Go figure.

And yes, the intro movie playes only @ 1024x768. Methinks Ironclad have underestimated their core gamer's hardware. ;)

Intro movie doesn't stretch or anything. I converted another video file to .bik and replaced it and it's just black around. Which is fine, cause otherwise it's either huge distortion or a bunch of separate video files.
