Strong vs. None???

What good is a ship if it is strong vs. none?? I understand that the statement isn't entirely true and that each class of ship is useful in some way, but can we maybe get that fleshed out a little bit so that the information is useful? Or at the very least take that strong vs. none statement out? As it is it just looks incomplete.

It makes perfect sense to me but maby you dont read the ships name and designated fuction.

i think you are refering to the Carrier cruiser right?

in this case, the Carrier is the weakest ship in game, even scouts are better

the Bombers and fighters it can produce are pretty powerfull however

another example of sweet balance....
pawning bombers without a refuelspot r worthless ;)

It isn't hard to understand at all.

It means that the ship itself sucks in combat. If you choose to only look at small part of information from a whole, it will often be confusing.

No, you just read it incompletely. Cruiser-sized Carriers can't fight by themselves, but they instead build and transport a squadron of fighters or bombers, which are invincible against everything except flak and can deal very nice damage.

Not quite. It means that the ship doesn't have any significant damage bonuses against a specific armour type. It doesn't necessarily mean that the ship is weak in combat.

Like I said, I realize that is only part of the information and that each ship is valuable in it's own way. My point is why include that information at all since it is the same for all Cruisers except the "heavy" cruiser for each race which, as opposed to the others says strong vs. pretty much everything. I guess what I'm looking for, if it's going to be there at all is that the information be complete. For example if a cruiser is meant to play a support role to take out enemy fighters, shouldn't it say "Strong vs Fighters/Bombers" instead?
