A few questions about the game

Alright I realize I'm bound to get some biased answers considering where I'm posting this but whatever...

How does this game compare to Civ4 in terms of depth? It's clearly beautiful, and you obviously have way more control over your units in combat than in Civilization (where you had none basically), but how do the diplomacy, research, "city building", etc. aspects compare to the Civ4?

Please, no BS!

All right, I'll be honest

Diplomacy : Not the greatest right now, but it's bound to improve, all the stuff you'd expect is in though, trading, line of sight sharing.

Research : It's a different type of research than civ 4, all of civ 4's research is aimed at allowing new buildings and units. In Sins, research is primarily aimed at improving all aspects of your empire (trade, resource collection, armor, damage, shields, intel, etc.)

City Building : I can't really put a comparison into words, because cities in civ 4 to planets in this is like apples to oranges, as far as I'm concerned.

How is the diplomacy bound to improve? Are they planning on adding new features in future patches (for free)?

Yes, Ironclad is planning continuous support for the game which includes free content goodies (although any "major" stuff will obviously be saved for an expansion).
