MyColors as Theme Manager does not recognize ODNT subscription

I am a full ODNT member, and downloaded MyColors to assess and see if the premium suites that cames with it were worth the extra cost. Still interested, however, here is my problem: MyColors has taken over from ODNT Theme Manager as the application that launches .suite files, and whenever I download a free suite file from WinCustomize and try to apply, MyColors launches, and tells me that I do not have a valid subscription to ODNT, and offers a page for me to buy it, instead of applying the suite as it should.

So I have to launch the old Theme Manager from the desktop Properties menu, to apply the themes, which is annoying. So is there anyone else with this problem, is there a way to fix it, and if not, when I uninstall MyColors will Theme Manager return as my .suite handler, or will I have to uninstall and reinstall that as well?

Thx in advance for any assistance,
BFS

Are you using Vista or XP?

Vista:

  • Start->Control Panel
  • Default Programs->Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program
  • Select .Suite from the list (you will need to scroll down) and click the Change Program button
  • ThemeManager should be listed under Recommended Programs, though you may need to expand the Other Programs section. In the worst case (if it's not displayed in either section), click Browse, then navigate to the ThemeManager directory (defaults to c:\program files\stardock\object desktop\ThemeManager\ThemeMgr.exe)
  • After you click OK out of everything, files with the .suite extension should be associated with ThemeManager again

XP:

  • Start->My Computer
  • Tools->Folder Options
  • Click the File Types tab
  • Select SUITE from the list (you will need to scroll down) and click the Change button
  • ThemeManager should be listed under Recommended Programs, though you may need to look within the Other Programs section.
