Changing font name on Start Menu

userpane/text settings click on font normal and then click the 'edit this font' button

you will see the window with the font properties, the name of the font ect...

The font height is what you need to change in order for the font to be either larger or smaller...

  

Thank you, Kitty. However, I am still only seeing the picture and not the name in the userpane. I don't see a text settings.

Is this because I'm trying to edit a "locked" skin that someone else created?

I can save other changes under a new name and should be able to change that too but am not having luck finding the font properties for that section.

Make sure the skin u r using is correctly assigning the position of the username. Wont matter what you do with the username font if it is not positioned correctly.

blue, if you are refering to seeing the font move as you adjust.......that just wont happen in skinstudio, you wont see the results until after you save and reapply in wb. other suggestions......could be the font colour? rendering it impossible to see......or Vstylers suggestion is a good one too......... if its not in the right position, you wont see it either.
As for the skin being locked.....i dont know about that one, ive never experimented with a locked skin, (shrugs) you will find the font properties under the 'userpane' section like i sugested before, take yr time to follow every step i gave you, and you will eventually find it. im not sure if you are using skin studio 5 or 6, im giving advice for 5, not 6.

You can also disable the piccy in the userpane too.......(an afterthought i thought id add..)

I'm trying to change the size of my name on one of the WBs that I installed. I'm assuming that I can't do that while I'm currently using the skin and have to do that when it's closed and I'm using a different skin.

When I click on Userpane in the left panel where there is a menu, there is no link for Text editing as you described. There is just a pic link under Userpane where the Start Panel controls are located.

It appears that I might have to save it as a new name before attempting it, which I haven't tried yet. Or it's just not possible.

no , it is possible to change stuff on the skin even if you are currently using that skin...lol thats how i skin, it looks like a ship wreck for about a week....... your going to have to tell me what version of skin studio you are using....that will tell me alot. either that, or send me the wb to my email and i will take a look for you and see if i can fix the problem...

I have Skin Studio 5.0.1, Build 112 (1999-2006). It is probably older than yours.

Eternal Love is one of the WBs that I was trying to change the name on to make it bigger.
