ok tell me wear i went wrong....

I didn't use the bonus pack cause i started this game beofre i got it. AI was all at begginer but the Yor set to sum-normal with deful alinment. I was playing gigantic galaxy with sparse good planets cause i think it adds more realism. I put my points point eveny into diplomaic and Defence. i start out with earth being class 23 so i thoght that i would be fine for a while. the frist thing i did was send out Hero after renaming it "Yamamoto Yoko" and built 1 more servay ship using mitrosoft and called it the "Ashanti Maru" it started exploring the near by stars and found 1 system i think it was Cassius with a class 15 planet and i colonized it right away. now the random event saying i found a Ranger Came up and i was like "Holy $hit i'm gooning to own this game" this was less than a year in. things are going storng and 13 months later i still haven't found a simgle major race but have begain trading with the Alexians and i have 7 crapy star systems but i needed them to increasemy range right now i'm nutrel but border line evil finaly i meet the Yor and there all "i want to eat you on toast or somthing" and i imidiatly demand tribulte 5000bc over a year months and they pay it for the frist 5 months and they were realy unlucky finding systems they had only 3 that i was aware of but then they refuse to pay the money and i send my Flag ship the "Ragnarock" my ranger to the home system with some some star fighters and completly devistate them i used mass drives and it was all over for them they came to me beging for peace and gave me there 2 other starsystems. they then surrended i though wow if thats sub-normal then this al is easy but what i failed to relize that they were so isolated with so few planets near them they count exspand plus my super unfair advantege of the ranger. a few turns later i made contacte with the altarians who were allied with the Acearn and they were watching what i did with senserdrones belive it or not and say i should be killed. i call apon my trade partiners the Alexians to ally with me and they pritty much had to. ok btw other than having super fortified starsystems and a about 5 starbases my millitary was next to nothing becaue although i had tech bonueses for them i never need much more than my ranger due to the lack of pplz in my area btw i still only know what in my half of the galaxy and have 10 systems now all at least stifyed but the Yor worlds i took and they were all focusing on building senser rones and battle ships but i switched some over to transports. i moved my small but powerfull offencive fleet to the Altarian boarder and when in full strenth agenst them distroyed most of their fleet but i took hevey fighter casualtys i then fortifeyd my self near there star systems to wait for the transports to arrive and when "a terrable evil" begain arizing on one of there worlds and Pow!!!! there when my chance at winning a rann away back to my territor and dug in to wait of the "somthing lords" to destroy the rest of the galaxy so i could take them out after the war weekend them but then my 3 yor world became mebers of the "leage of non aligned worlds" and the "lords" when right for them after they took the sorunding altarian systems then i made contact with the derngin federation witch i though was starnge i though they were an empire from the game setup. they asked me to help them fight the "lords" and i was like "yea right do it yourself" then i tryed making peace with the "lords" but they weren't interested and came right for me it took them 6 years acualy to take 2 of my systems my defences were so built up. i finaly got phenex technology and me and my allies the alexian Who hade gaind 2 more systems fighting the Areacs started to fight back against the "lords" and i took back my 2 lost systems only turns after they gained them but all of a sudden the "lords" got some weird bonus that boosted all there world to +30 and they had so much power i didnt stand a chance and i ended up holding out for 10 more years still without seeing more then %60 of the galaxy before they completly destroyed all but Sol it was a battle between the overlords and my Advanced fleet of 11d7(thats 56)ships but they won then i was like "bt out of no were a terrain scientest called Bob Bobington discoverd the secrets of time travel and pow!!! i realoaded to 7 years earlyer with all knolage of futuer events what can i do to keep this from happening again?
