Unable to Join/Host Lan game, Crash to Desktop

I have a major problem. Everytime i tried to click on join/host game under multiplayer i get crashed to desktop. i cant even get to the menu of host game, i just crash to desktop as soon as i click on the button.

Any suggestion?

BTW, i am running WinXp with 1.02 Patch

Is on my laptop with a Core 2 Duo and a Nvidia Card.

SinglePlayer plays fine too. No crash no hang-up
