transport bug report

I have found a bug relating to transports and planet populations. I did a cursory search of the bug reports but didn't see any mention so here goes. I'm running the latest patch 1.20.087. Take a transport (plain or combat, doesn't matter) in star system orbit. Note the planet(s) population. Load the transport and launch. Immediately put the ship back into orbit. Note the planet(s) population. It has increased (by about 15M). Its a relatively small amount, but you can repeat this indefinitely (until you get bored) and pump up the population of the planet.

Wow! I just tried this out in AP 1.50. You can actually boost your population by repeatedly launching and landing in one turn. Talk about a cheesy loophole! ;)

Excellent bug! It seems more effective when you have only a small number of people on the transport - if you launch about 65 million people and land them, you get an extra 65 million pop every time.

If you can keep the morale up, then taxes should increase drastically, giving a lot more cash. Can you max out the planet to 100B this way? From what you say, one might be able to. This would be great for military victorys. Need a few more million troops, just load them up, land them double the transports, load them land them ... Overwelm those Yor :D LOL :D
