Music MODDING for those who haven't done it. Here is some HOW TO.

This is how to MOD the music.
In the c:\Program Files\Strategy First\Galactic Civilizations\
There are 2 directories that have music and sound effects for the game.
\Music\
\Event Music\
All these files are MP3. To change the default Theme music etc, simply disable the current file by remaing it like so;
MainTheme.mp3 -> MainTheme DISABLED.mp3
Then grab any MP3 you have and drop it into the same directory as the disabled file and rename the new MP3.
Whatever_Tune.mp3 -> MainTheme.MP3
Bingo you have your own music inside that aspect of the game.
It is easy and desirable to change the music while in the diplomacy screen etc.
As for what music to put in their place. I and others will be posting that in other threads.
Remember though if you convert music from another format or even MP3 high bitrate. Convert the dsired music at no greater than 160 bitrate MP3 so the game will be able to play it.
