What happened to Number 1 guy?

I can't remember the name, but he was the guy that averaged 3 submissions a day for 60,000 points from mid-Feb. Did he finally get booted? Playing this game 24/7, I still serious doubt that would be possible, and that's not factoring in sleeping/eating/school/work/a life. Far more plausible that he hacked the scores, which is easy for even a beginning hacker.

I can't even find his empire on the map anymore, the name of which I also forgot.

I'm just looking for confirmation as to whether or not he got booted. I feel better knowing that the galciv peopple crack down on that crap.

Stardock said they found hints for cheating in his save games, so they got erased from the meta, see the Metaverse Scoring Audit in the main threat

I know who he is.. Mayito7777 he is on my staff at NeoTech Gaming Network website. http://www.neotechgaming.com He did not cheat at all, he had made his own Mods that actually boosted his score. He would never cheat, unless they consider Mods cheating? I always thought the Metaverse would reject a submission if it determined you were using illegal Mods? :notsure:

Please read the scoring audit thread for factual information written by carielf and frogboy. Both are stardock employees.

Oh, well Mayito7777 had his name removed from the metaverse for the same reasons. Sorry I assumed it was the same person. :) I do not know where the thread is anyways. Thanks for correcting me ;)

Well, Mayito has used some mods to play all the game with the anomalous flag set. But few turns before ending the game, he disabled the mods in order not to trip the flag. For this reason, in the latests version of Galciv, the files used (standard and mods) are in the save game to prevent such abuse. So you can no longer alter the rules during the play.

I do not know where the thread is anyways.

Thanks Peace Phoenix, I did not know the specifics he is not playing much anymore due to the metaverse issues.

He did not intentionally try to rig his scores though. This is what he said Stardock told him.

This means that he only enjoys Galciv through metaverse. It is a bit sad :(

I mentioned that to him.. He said it just made him loose interest for a while. Discouraged is the best word to describe how he feels.

We are good friends he is a staff member at my website. He is playing again now, just not like he once was. :(

Mayito (Renegade) was a top player and also removed for reasons discussed above, but the number one player in the original question was Lothmorg the Black. He was also accused of cheating by somehow submitting the same save game multiple times. Without opening old wounds too far, he protested his innocence privately, but left anyway.

Thanks for pointing that out.. I have read the thread now that someone was kind enough to give me the link. It seems my time away from playing galciv a while has put me behind on all the threads. I do not see how anyone could cheat.. I am not going to worry about it. I am not extremely good at the game myself. :D (Obviously) I play normal level and gigantic maps all the time.
