cannot update GalCiv...

All, I don't know why, but my previous message regarding problems updating from GalCiv 1.20.086 to a newer version was removed. I still need help. How can I upgrade to the latest version?

As I mentioned a few times, I keep getting a message like so, "Failed to validate your Galactic Civilizations registration information. Please verify that you have entered your email address and serial number correctly."

Can someone help here?

About the only fix that can come from outside Stardock on an issue like this is to double-check the serial number (ones or "I"s? zeroes or "O"s?) and verify that you're using the same email address that you used to register the game. If that fails to solve it, you should send an email to [email protected]. Stardock is generally well above average among gaming companies at responding to tech support emails. As this is a public forum, we as users can't do anything if the problem is with your registration information.

As I mentioned in the post here (that somehow was removed), the serial is correct and I've double, triple, quadruple checked. I believe that I've also sent email to support on this, but just in case I will do it again.

With respect to the forum - I thought that StarDock and the developers monitored this forum, no? If they don't - then you are correct, this forum can't help with registration information.

They do monitor this forum. CariElf is usually patrolling these forums helping fix problems just like yours. But she seems to be on vacation right now. Send the e-mail to support again, perhaps it got lost accidentally. But they do help, I promise. :)
