Altarian Prophecy

Is it just me or is Altarian Prophecy more difficult than the regular Galciv? I've been stomped on two Painful games and I used to be able to beat crippling 8 times out of 10 in the original.

Is it perhaps due to adding to more races results in added difficulty (playing large maps).

Have you found that you needed to change your strategy in Altarian Prophecy?

Definitley need to change strategy some. On large maps, the more abundant the planets, the harder the game. Try using sparce and see if that helps. You can then move towards the more abundant maps if you want, but the strategy will have to change. On the large maps with abundant, the AIs have so much money they swamp you in almost all categories, from tech to trade goods, to wonders.

Yeah, I noticed that. Will try to switch to sparse for my next game and see what happens! I was used to playing catchup after the initial explore/expand phase but it seems very difficult to get to an equal level.

OMG i downloaded the expansion and i havnt found eny more races all i see is minor diffentses to the normal game play thats all man i realy dont under stand (:(

gibberingturd, were the new races selected on the race setup screen when you started?
