I can manufacture evil ships if I am "Good" and conquer an "evil" empire?

It would seem that I can do this based on my last game. Is this correct? I can make death (whatever-forgot) ships :), if I conquer the evil Drengins, let us say, and I am of "good" alignment? In other words, I don't have to be evil to make those evil ships once i conquer an evil empire.

Kind of.

Once conquering the planet if a Wraith or a Vampyre is in the ship build then it will let you complete that build if you do not alter it. Once built then the option is removed.

The same goes for alignment based trade goods if you are lucky enough to conquer a planet building one. Ensure you dont attempt to change the social build.
