Crash to desktop

hi
my game crashes to desktop without warning..there is a error log that can i check?
i restarted the game 3 times from different saves but always after a while it crashes to desktop without warning.
any help will be welcome.

p.s. i run galciv 1.21 no expansion
my system is a pentium 4 3.400 with a geforce fx 5950 ultra 256mb
windows xp pro

Go to Stardock Central and download under the "freebies" tab a program call SmartException. Run this before you run GalCiv. When it crashes it will generate a log. You can ask CariElf to look at it.

But, before you take up her time, have you played any games completely yet, or have they all crashed. Is it only crashing after you upgraded to the latest version? You have upgraded to the latest version, right? If not, first thing to do is to upgrade to the latest version. Are you playing a game that is more graphic intensive than previously, such as large map? If so, check to make sure your graphic drivers are the latest ones for you graphics card.

downloaded, anyway i have the latest drivers and my game works well, except this messed game, i override it winning a fast alliance victory.
now i can check with smart exception what will happen
