Metaverse Questions -- Help?

Howdy.

I'm confused how all of the accounts/registrations interact. I would appreciate it if someone could clarify it for me.

I register on the metaverse with a name and a serial number. What name is this? The name I want on the metaverse? The name registered under the account?

When I finish a game, it asks for a name and an email address. What name do I use? The one I registered on the metaverse page? My stardock account? What about the email address? Is it the stardock email?

When I view my metaverse submission, it has two IDs. One looks like I have a player ID and a stardock.net ID. When I want to add someone to my empire, which ID do I use? How do I find their "appropriate" ID?

If the metaverse name and this account name that I have with stardock are the same, now, how can I change it? If I can change the metaverse name (how?), do my games registered under the current name follow? Or do I have to create a new name?

Thanks.

It looks like the metaverse registration name can be different from your stardock name. What happens if you submitted a score in the game under a different name? Will it show up later if you register?

(BTW, the game needs more feedback when submitting a metaverse score like -- invalid user, username doesn't match email (or serial), etc.)

My other questions still apply.

Well, after examining a few player profiles, it looks like the Stardock nick is what is used, and NOT the metaverse player name. What is the metaverse player name for?

I have a feeling that was a mistake, re: using your Stardock nick vs. Metaverse nick. I wouldn't be shocked to find it changing eventually (since it's just a display issue). Right now, though, it's useless.

Anyways, when you submit to the metaverse, use the metaverse name, not the Stardock nick. The email addy should be the one on your Stardock account, though I doubt it actually matches it. To add someone to your empire (i.e. invite only), you have to snag their player ID...the small number...and add it to a list on the empire management page, wherever that is. No clue how someone might remove themselves from your empire if they didn't actually want to be added. :)
