(:( I was two upgrades away from finishing my "terror star" and two planets converted to me and boom...Cultural victory. I want death, not culture

Great game! Took me a whole weekend to figure this one out but a week later( 5 games) I'm kicking butt!!!

Well, you can always turn off cultural victory when you start the game, unfortunately impossible once you have started the game.

just give the other guy a planet or two to stunt your culture. make sure a terror star or two are nearby...muahahahahahaa

I play without culture victory now. I like the concept - it's great, and fairly unique to strategy games, but it's *way* too easy on the lower difficulty levels.
