AP Map editor crash

Does anyone else's program crash when they try to generate a new map in map editor. AP totally and completely crashes XP so I have to hit the power button each time (One more strike for XP I guess).

It's not XP's fault. If you're not using the version of the map editor that was released with the latest beta update to AP (which you may not have access to) there was an error caused by incompatibility with certain video drivers.

Also, one thing that worked for one person reporting crashes was to move all of the editor files into their own directory, as the editors were trying to load the other dlls in the AP directory and that was causing problems.

The files needed by the editors are the three editor exes, Msvcr71.dll Mfc71.dll Msvcp71.dll, Gctech.tech Lib3d.dll and the media folder.
