He probably referres to the old website, dont you think?

I like the current website, but it's not that inspired of the game as the other game-sites, on the other hand - it's easy to navigate, find what you want and very neat and clear. The more game-inspired sites are often more hard to navigate and find what you want.

Maybe it's a stooge from one of our rivals. :)

Those titles are actually temporary until the site is finished. If you log into www.wincustomize.com (with the same log in you use here) you can edit your account and use different options. The same will be implemented here in the future.

Does anyone agree with the criticisms made on there?

well I wasn't planning on saying anything but I think the demo movie you gave us is pretty lame. though the girls hair is cool, in contrast most of the rest of the scene looks flat. the alien just looks goofy and 1950's sci-fi-ish. overall the movie does not generate any interest in the game to me. it does not impart any thoughts as to what the game is about or like.

regarding this website. I love the layout. it may not have the flash and theme of the game but it is a good design and is usefull. usefull is something you cannot say about most official, pre-release, game sites.

I disagree with most of the critisms made there. The galciv website won't win awards for graphics and display but is superb at functionality. It is certainly one of the easiest websites to navigate and get information from. All the information is in easy to access clicks and there is lots of info. Who needs anything else.

While I don't agree with jlegere about the teaser movie I do agree with his sentiments that it does not generate interest in the game for me. I don't think it is aimed at me though, so not an issue. I play strategy turn based games for their depth and replayability, therefore a teaser movie showing fancy graphics is not going to sway me.

I think this message board format is a good basic start. It needs a lot of features before it will really
fly, and when they are put in, this format style will really be popular.

The teaser is indead interesting, but I agree with Paul (Solitair) that it would not sway me to buy Galciv
without the demonstration that it is truly a turn based strategy game.

Cheers,
Jack
