Okay the game is fun yadda yadda. But since when did being 'Good' equate to stomping on your neighbor just because he is an idiot and drives a 1970's clunker to work every day? If you don't get the analogy I just made then please read on...
So far I have found that when playing Galciv that the whole treatment of morality is quite wrong in the game. Not sure what is should be called but good and evil is definitely not portrayed with the way I was brought up. For example would'nt it be safe to say that a 'good' empire would not try to win by military force unless provoked? I think it would be more plausible if a 'good' aligned empire would seek a more idealogical or 'cultural victory' as the game would put it to achieve victory. Vice versa a 'bad' empire would seek to annihilate using whatever force necessary.
I am complaining because repeatedly I have seen the 'good' Altarians attack my 'good' empire without military provocation of any kind, the ai just seems to wait until it has dreadnoughts then wham they attack with the sole intention of conquering everything.
Anyways I close this hoping that maybe the developers might rethink and tweak some of the AI routines to react more like what their so called morality indicates. :notsure:
