Buy Altarian prophecy vs Totalgaming.net?

Two part queastion:

1. Should I buy the Altarian prophecy because of extra gameplay options that are worthwile? I am not interested in only the campaign stuff. Does it enhance the game play expierence (spelling) sufficiently to warrant a purcase?

2. If I do buy, should I rather go all the way and purchase the totalgaming.net subscription? I do not know if the other games are any good, but disciples does look interseting. Is it worth it?

Well I'd say yes, AP is worth the extra money, lots of extra fun.
And if you are a bit deeper in gaming totalgaming.net is for sure worth the extra money, because all games within a year after subscribtion you d/l are free

Thanks for that Icho. I would like to be a bit deeper into gaming, but work and the girlfiend (intentional) always seem to want more attention. I now only play games that I really, really like. Do you know if any of the other games would appeal to a diehard fantasy roleplayer and strategy gamer (I do not like Political Machine, not my cup)?

I have tried to find out if totalgaming also can ship CD's (extra cost ...) but the details or sparse. I do not suppose any one will know?

Honestly, I'd just get the base Disciples 2, most of the expansions didn't add that much- and we mostly released for quick cash. The elves one was decent, but not worth what they charged for it. Base Disciples 2 should go for about $10.

That being said, I'd get a Disciples 3 if they added enough to it. (Disciples 2's biggest flaw was it's smallness- though that was also part of its charm)

For 30 bucks extra if you already have Gal Civ, you get Disciples 2 with all its expansions, the Political Machine, which is a fun game even if you hate American politics, Celtic Kings, a fairly decent RTS/RPG combo, and assorted other goodies. I would imagine that spending a little more money would in the end be worth it. TGN is a pretty good deal . . . if you already had Gal Civ anyway and get the 30 bucks off.

The depth does not change but by adding civilizations the amout of variables and posible outcomes increases tremendously.
